Tembe Elephant Park
Nestled in a protected wildlife reserve, Tembe Elephant Park Lodge provides family-friendly tented accommodation in the KwaZulu-Natal Province. This community-owned and managed lodge has access to some of the oldest Elephant population in Africa.
Each tent is equipped with a fan and an ensuite bathroom which provides guests with an additional outdoor shower. Guests can enjoy bush views whilst relaxing on the patio of their room.
The room rate is inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner and two game drives daily. Dinner provides guests with a set menu or BBQ buffet option. A full English breakfast is enjoyed under the thatched dining hall, whilst lunch is served buffet-style.
Guests can make use of the outdoor splash pool, on-site bar or watch TV in the shared lounge. For a surcharge, guests can enjoy selected spa treatments in the privacy of their rooms.
Distance Guideline
Taking the N2 north from Durban one can expect to travel 3,5 hours to Tembe Elephant Park, the N2 a national road is easily navigable, one may turn left at Hluhluwe and continue on the R22 northbound turn left onto the D1837 rd. This road will take you to the Tembe Elephant Park. Some of the roads do have potholes and care must be taken when travelling, please note that no fences are present so keep to the speed limits as Cattle and Goats do cross the roads.
King Shaka International Airport is a 4-hour drive away from the property and a shuttle can be arranged on request.
